Deconstructing Crowley: Don't fear the Beast
No figure in the history of occultism has been more controversial or misunderstood than the infamous Aleister Crowley. He has made invaluable contributions to modern paganism that have been overshadowed by his dark reputation. During this talk we will take an honest look into the life and work of the much maligned magician, piercing the veil of his infamy to reveal a Magus whose occult legacy endures to this day, while decoding some of the more cryptic and challenging symbols of his magical system of Thelema along the way.

Self-Defense for Women
Assault on women is unfortunately all too common in our culture. Attackers tend to target women they know, and an attack can happen anywhere, including at a festival or convention. Self-Defense for Women is intended for self-identified women who do not see themselves as martial artists or fighters, but would also not like to become victims if they are targeted. This is a hands-on, no-nonsense, highly practical workshop; come prepared to move and engage our instructors who will teach specific techniques for ending an assault. Workshop will be closed ten minutes after the program starts.

Healing the Ancestral Lineage
In this experiential workshop, we will look at how trauma is passed down through generations, and we will connect with the archetypal energy of our bloodlines, bringing that back into the present, and shift the energy of everything in between. In doing this, we honor and heal our ancestors, and we can break through strong patterns that may have baffled us, allowing us to respond differently to the world around us. Ages 16+. No entry after we begin.

Working with our Ancestors of the spirit to Ward our Freedom
From ancient Greece to Viking Age Denmark, people honored the heroes whose lives blessed their lands. The monuments on the Capitol Mall are a place where people from every background remember and invoke them. But Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, the Roosevelts and Martin Luther King Jr. are only a few of the leaders, of every ethnicity and gender, who have fought for the rights of the citizens of our land. We have the magic! In a time when our country is polarized by factions and hate, let’s use it to work with our ancestors of the spirit for protection and healing.

Blood, Tradition & Tribe: An Ancestor Celebration Ritual
Some ancestors are connected to us by blood. Some through various spiritual traditions. Some are linked by “tribes” we feel a kinship with. The traditional Roman festival of Parentalia was a 9 day festival held each February to honor family ancestors. Naos Antinoou invites you to honor all these different types of ancestors with us in a modern Antinoan celebration of the ancient Roman Parentalia festival where we will invite attendees to participate in a devotional ritual that honors Antinous and the diversity and variety of our ancestors of all kinds. Doors will close at start of ritual.
