Kontomble Community Voice Divination Ritual
In this ritual, West Coast Village members introduce kontomble medicine. Who are the kontomble? The little people of course! Kontomble are elemental beings that brought culture to the Dagara of Burkina Faso. They wake us up to remembering purpose and gifts, bringing wisdom from Otherworlds. There'll be a short talk on kontomble- who they are in Dagara cosmology, how we experience them in the West, and how we work with them. Those gathered will then have an opportunity to speak with kontomble during a community voice divination ritual, bringing questions for which guidance is desired. Doors close after divination begins.

A Black Woman Speaks
This piece was first performed as a monologue by Beah Richards in 1950 in front of a group of upper class white women. The message is as important today as it was back then. It is a plea for our white sisters to see the lies in “white supremacy and to join us to create a society of equality.” This play is a ritual where all of the actors are aspecting their characters and will be working with their chosen Orisha to help guide them in the work. This is a powerful piece that has been performed before at PantheaCon.
