Antifascism 101
Fascism, cloaked in white power & ccalling itself the Alt-Right, has jumped out of the pages of history and into the present day. Some of these groups have been working to subvert and corrupt the esoteric, Pagan, and Heathen communities into platforms for spreading their ideologies of bigotry and violence. In this workshop we will discuss what Anti-Fascism is, effective anti-fascist tactics, and how to effectively confront the far right. All participants should have a solid understanding of the far right, white nationalism, & how these groups are present & active in Paganism.

Ascending to the Gods
It is not enough to believe in the Gods. We must know Them in order to work with them. But to truly know the Gods requires Their grace, or the labor of spiritual practice that brings us into Their presence and ultimately unites us to Them. In the West, the path worked out in the Mediterranean tradition is called theurgy and it has a distinct and effective method for preparing oneself, then approaching, then uniting with Divine Beings. We will discuss this ancient method and how to apply it in today’s Paganism.

Pagan Humor 9: Over THERE....
This year my seminar will focus on a pilgrimage I made to England, 20 years after I was bonked on the Spirit at the Chalice Well and became a witch. Did I miss my flight? Get off a train at “Scratchy Licker Piddle”? Climb Glastonbury Tor at 3am? Drive around (and around) 86,000 country roundabouts through towns like “Wet Pickle Puddle”? Did I sneak across a field of sleeping sheep? Did I get mistaken for ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’? And….did I barf on the London Eye ferris wheel? Spoiler Alert: No: I did not barf.

We have autism. We have ADD and PTSD. We have sensory sensitivities, bipolar disorder, and depression. The stigma against "neurodiversity" makes it difficult to be part of a community that invalidates what is a fact of life for many of us, and there are too few resources that accommodate our practices. We'll discuss different ways of approaching magic and polytheistic paths as well as how we might create a stronger, more inclusive community for neurodiversity.

Working with our Ancestors of the spirit to Ward our Freedom
From ancient Greece to Viking Age Denmark, people honored the heroes whose lives blessed their lands. The monuments on the Capitol Mall are a place where people from every background remember and invoke them. But Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, the Roosevelts and Martin Luther King Jr. are only a few of the leaders, of every ethnicity and gender, who have fought for the rights of the citizens of our land. We have the magic! In a time when our country is polarized by factions and hate, let’s use it to work with our ancestors of the spirit for protection and healing.

In this rite, we will call upon Her to uplift and protect women in police custody, women in prison, women in the military, women in war zones, trans women, and women of color. We petition the Black Madonna in her many forms to bring mercy to the suffering, justice to the oppressor, and and positive change and healing for all women. All are welcome at this rite.

Devotional rituals can be some of the most powerful forms of rituals. But ritual devotion is not limited to theists. Join us in a rite of devotion to the Earth itself, to the life-giving miracle of the soil, water, air, and sun which sustains us all. The ritual will culminate in an opportunity to take a vow — simple or life-transforming — in service of the Earth and the living beings to which it is home. Both theists and non-theists are welcome.
